Bob Dylan's Stealing of James Damiano's Songs


No artist can lay claim to the controversy that has surrounded the career of songwriter James Damiano. Forty-five years ago, James Damiano began an odyssey that led him into a legal maelstrom with Bob Dylan that, to this day, fascinates the greatest of intellectual minds On September 15, 1995, James Damiano filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Bob Dylan in the United States Federal District Court. ​​ Twenty-eight years ago on March 14th, 1996, Judge Joel B. Rosen ruled in favor of Bob Dylan's federal order for confidentiality designating all discovery material as confidential. Although Mr. Damiano has continuously pleaded with the court over the years to lift the order it still to this day remains in effect even though it is a twenty-eight year after the fact of litigation order that strives to avoid transparency. The order also attempts to diminish James Damiano's credibility to the public.​ According to the record of the court it is verified, substantiated, confirmable and conclusive that in James Damiano's copyright infringement lawsuit against Bob Dylan, the court was negligent in maintaining Integrity, legitimacy, honesty and lawfulness. A prior twenty-eight year internet historical account of the case along with the record of the court also documents, verifies, and officially substantiates the fraud upon the court committed by Bob Dylan’s lead attorney Orin Snyder of Gibson Dunn, and the United States Federal District Court. ​On February 6th 2012 an investigation into the fraud committed in James Damiano’s lawsuit against Bob Dylan was opened by the United States Attorney General.
