On September 15, 1995, James Damiano filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Bob Dylan in the United States Federal District Court.
Twenty-eight years ago on March 14th, 1996, Judge Joel B. Rosen ruled in favor of Bob Dylan's federal order for confidentiality designating all discovery material as confidential. Although Mr. Damiano has continuously pleaded with the court over the years to lift the order it still to this day remains in effect even though it is a twenty-eight year after the fact of litigation order that strives to avoid transparency. The order also attempts to diminish James Damiano's credibility to the public.
